Dudley,
I just came here after the WWHS 1976 Re-union meeting on Tuesday, 4/12/2016 and saw your picture - that you had passed away. I, (and many others), have been wondering where you are for a number of the past few years - including my older brother Dave. I drove by your old house on Sheridan where we lived 1 block from each other from 5th grade on. I am so honored that you wanted to learn how to play the guitar from me and learn to sing - you wanted to play because you wanted the girls to like you! Dudley, you became an excellent guitar player, keyboard and piano player, and terrific singer - as well as an amazing athlete and friend! I never got to tell you how proud and amazed I was of you - I think I was secretly jealous and insecure. You reminded me of myself musically. God Bless you, my friend! I just trust that you knew Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, and that we will meet again forever! Also, I always loved and appreciate your wonderful mother, as well. She was a wonderful woman! Donald Michael Nelson, 56, of Kennewick died on Sept. 13, 2014 in Walla Walla County. He was born Nov. 20, 1957 to parents Pat and Lucille (Hill) Nelson in Walla Walla, WA. On June 24, 1994 he married Kay Olsen. He has lived in the Tri-Cities for 13 years. 

Donald attended Eastern Washington University. He worked as a buyer for ProBuild in Kennewick. Donald enjoyed boating, water skiing, skiing, and motorcycles. He was a musician and a SeaHawks fan.
Donald belonged to Christ Lutheran Church.

Surviving Donald are his wife, Kay; sons Christopher, Patrick, Ben, Aaron; granddaughters Addisyn, Shuree, Alexiss, Ellianna; grandsons Ezekiel, Jacob; mother, Lucille Nelson; sister Linda Mathews; nephew Justin, Adam; brother John. He was preceded in death by his father Pat Nelson, and brother Tom Nelson. 

A memorial will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Hillcrest Memorial Center, 9353 W. Clearwater Ave., Kennewick, WA.
